Increasingly, migrants from outside Latin America are paying smuggling networks hefty fees for travel packages that can include airline tickets to fly to Central America and then bus rides and hotel stays en route to the US-Mexico border. Amazon is planning a major revamp of its decade-old money-losing Alexa service to include a conversational generative AI with two tiers of service and has considered a monthly fee of around $5 to access the superior version. China's Huawei Technologies said it had made breakthroughs in fields from operating systems to artificial intelligence, and that it had taken the company 10 years to do what the United States and Europe took 30 years to achieve. Boeing is nearing a deal to buy back Spirit AeroSystems after its former subsidiary made substantial progress in separate talks with Airbus over a transatlantic breakup of the struggling supplier, people familiar with the matter said. Europe has clocked a record number of hours of negative power prices this year due to a mismatch between demand and supply as solar power generation soars, potentially helping to shift investment to much needed storage solutions. The Week Ahead For markets trying to assess how quickly interest rate moves are likely to come, it's all about the data. That puts a closely watched US inflation gauge, Tokyo's CPI index and preliminary June data from some euro zone economies in the spotlight. Central bank meetings in emerging markets and the run-up to elections in Britain and France means there's plenty going on. Here's your week ahead primer for world markets. Shortly after launching a YouTube channel in November last year, Loiek, a 21-year-old from Ukraine, found her image had been taken and spun through artificial intelligence to create alter egos on Chinese social media platforms. Her digital doppelgangers - like "Natasha" - claimed to be Russian women fluent in Chinese who wanted to thank China for its support of Russia and make a little money on the side selling products such as Russian candies.
